Oreon Project

Oreon Project is dedicated to making Enterprise Linux more suitable for desktops and laptops, providing the best user experience right out of the gate.

Overview

Oreon takes the stability and reliability of Enterprise Linux and adapts it for real desktop use. It focuses on usability, performance, and long-term maintainability without losing the enterprise-grade backbone that powers mission-critical systems.

Road to Independence

Oreon is currently transitioning toward becoming a fully independent Linux distribution planned for Oreon 11 built from the ground up while maintaining full compatibility with RPM-based packages.
