Go and REST API for Sungrow inverters. Because when the sun starts to grow, the next stage is a red giant.
Your Sungrow inverter needs to be connected to your network, either through ethernet or wifi, and accessible from the host you want to run redgiant on. To be able to connect to the inverter, you need to find the hostname of the inverter. In most cases this is a local IP address starting with 192.168.XXX.YYY. This step very much depends on your network so there is no standard way to it. You can for example look at all IP addresses listed in your router and paste them in your browser. You know you found the Sungrow inverter if
- your browser displays a security warning about a self-signed certificate, and
- you see an orange-branded login dialog after you continue in your browser by accepting the security risk.
The hostname or IP address that you found is referenced by $SUNGROW_HOST below.
There are two accounts available to login into your Sungrow inverter:
- regular account with username
userwith the default passwordpw1111, and - admin account with username
adminwith the default passwordpw8888.
redgiant does not need elevated permissions so you can user either account.
docker run -e REDGIANT_SUNGROW_HOST=$SUNGROW_HOST -p 8000:8000 ghcr.io/pmeier/redgiant:latest
