this change makes sense. I will approve. However the same template will soon be used for QLI 2.0 builds, so we will need to find a way to support that.

This need to be handled from meta-qcom to make sure correct QLI release version reflects in final contents.xml

We should have a flag in the generator to override the default (which should be 0.0) when called from the 2.0 branch, and change the 2.0 branch to set it.
