* Reformatted usage message * Added '-e' option to read authentication details from environment * Added '-u' option to specify alternative authentication URL * Added '-s' option for silent operation * All error messages go to stderr * PUT: can take an alternative local filename * GET: don't write to the output file unless the operation succeeds * other stuff too trivial to mention

This pull request contains the changes I needed to make to use this script in production. I've tried to make sure that the changes are backwards-compatible (hopefully I succeeded!)
