Inscribe 0.1.1
Inscribe 0.1.1 — Hotfix
Added .deb and .rpm package - They don't support updates yet!
Fixes
- Grey/blank window on some systems (e.g. Kali + nouveau/WebKit).
- Forces software GL and disables problematic WebKit compositing paths.
- More robust startup on minimal installs; clearer error handling.
Improvements
- New runtime dependency checker and one-click installer (apt-based distros):
- Checks for: webkit2gtk, gtk3, libsoup3, appindicator, pkexec, udisks2, sgdisk, mkfs.vfat, mkfs.exfat, mkfs.ntfs, etc.
- Settings → “Check dependencies” / “Install missing”.
- Setup section now groups “Re‑run setup” with dependency tools.
Notes
- AppImage: write to a user‑writable location (e.g.
~/Downloads) for the in‑app updater to replace itself. - If you’re on a non‑Debian/Ubuntu family distro, install equivalent packages via your package manager.
Update paths
- From 0.1.0: open the app and click “Update”.
- Fresh install: download the attached AppImage, then:
chmod +x Inscribe_0.1.1_amd64.AppImage
./Inscribe_0.1.1_amd64.AppImageInscribe 0.1.0
