Welcome to rpgmdec! This tool quickly unlocks archives and assets from RPG Maker XP, VX, VXAce, MV, and MZ. It provides a user-friendly way to access your game files.

To get started, visit the Releases page to download the latest version of rpgmdec. Hereβs how:
- Click on the link above or the button at the top.
- On the Releases page, find the version you want.
- Download the appropriate file for your operating system. For example, you might see files like

Launch the Application: Open rpgmdec from your applications menu or desktop shortcut.

Select Your Archive:
- Click on the "Open" button.
- Browse to the location of your RPG Maker archive file (e.g.,
*.rxdata,*.rpgmvp, or*.rpgmv).

Choose Extraction Options:
- Select whether you want to inspect the assets first or extract them directly.
- If inspecting, click "Inspect" and view the files before extracting.

Extract Files:
- Click on the "Extract" button.
- Choose a destination folder where you want the files to be saved.
- Click "OK" to start the extraction process.

Done: Once the extraction is complete, navigate to the folder you selected to find your files.
If you encounter any issues while using rpgmdec, consider the following:
- Error Messages: Read any error messages carefully. They usually indicate what went wrong.
- File Compatibility: Ensure the file is an RPG Maker archive. If not, rpgmdec may not process it correctly.
