Installation

From GitHub Releases

1. Download the latest release from the Releases page
2. Unzip the downloaded file
3. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/
4. Enable "Developer mode" in the top right
5. Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped folder

Manual Installation

1. Clone or download this repository
2. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/
3. Enable "Developer mode" in the top right corner
4. Click "Load unpacked" and select the project folder

Usage

1. Install the extension following the steps above
2. Visit Instagram and open any post
3. Configure settings by clicking the extension icon in your toolbar
4. Use keyboard shortcuts for quick toggles while browsing

Smart Comment Hiding

Auto Mode (Default):

• Comments automatically hide on portrait/mobile screens
• Comments stay visible on landscape/desktop screens
• Use Alt+H to temporarily override auto detection

Manual Mode:

• Disable "Auto Screen Detection" in settings
• Manually control comment visibility with the toggle or Alt+H

Settings

Access settings by clicking the IG Enhancer icon in your Chrome toolbar:

• Auto Screen Detection: Automatically manage comments based on screen orientation
• Hide Comments: Manual control for comment visibility
• TikTok-Style Sidebar: Show user profile and action buttons on the right
• Scroll Navigation: Use mouse wheel to navigate between posts
• Video Controls: Enable native HTML5 video controls

This extension:
