Drop shadow not displayed during animations

When animating voffset, the clipping done in Layout.display prevents to see the shadow of the layout (if any) during animation. The shadow reappears once the animation is finished.

It's not clear how to correct this. One could enlarge the clipping during animation, but how much? ideally one should know the direction of the animation.
