Text lose aspect ratio/pixelated for a moment while I'm resizing the application

Hi. I know this is in beginning stage. But I would like to know how to keep the aspect ratio or pixels same for texts when I resize.
Shouldn't that be automatically taken care when I use something like label.

Hi, in Bogue text always keeps the same aspect ratio (in fact, the same size). What OS are you using? I suspect MacOS will take a snapshot of the window when resizing instead of asking Bogue to refresh, causing a temporary streching. I never have this problem on linux

Yes. Its Mac M1. Any idea on how to fix that?

I think I already tried but it' not obvious, especially since I don't have access to this machine in general. And it might be an SDL issue.

could you set BOGUE_DEBUG=true when running your app and post the output that is printed when you are resizing the window?

for instance:

BOGUE_DEBUG=true boguex 6

I'm sorry I'm new to Ocaml as well & I am using dune to run the program.
I go like dune exec <program_name> to run the program. I tried dune exec <prog_name> BOGUE_DEBUG=true boguex 6 and I see nothing being printed.

if you installed bogue in the usual way (with opam) then you have the executable boguex. Just try on the terminal

boguex 6

(this will run example number 6)
or

BOGUE_DEBUG=true boguex 6

to get the debug log

thanks for the debug info and the video. this seems to be indeed an SDL issue with MacOS. I see in the log that no event are received by the application during resizing.
So, I'm afraid there's nothing I can do apart from signalling this to SDL authors (which I just did). In fact the issue was already reported here:
