First Boot

The first time you boot into Linux on your laptop you will be prompted to customize the system. The first screen is the language selection screen. Choose English and click Continue.

Language Selection

On the next screen you are prompted to create a user account and name your computer. Fill in your full name, choose a computer name, choose a username, and finally enter in a password twice. Click Continue to finish setting up the system.

User Configuration

Note: This password is different than the one you use to log into Windows and the Help Desk is not able to reset it. Please remember it.

The system will take a moment to configure the system, then you will be taken to the login screen. Enter in your password and click Log In.

When you've logged in, check out the wireless setup instructions to get Wi-Fi working.
