It is somewhat hard to nowadays "officially use <= 3.7 Pythons" https://devguide.python.org/versions/

Allow testing for more up-to-date versions.

YMMV with Travis: I just "educatedly copy-pasted", I haven't tested it. Happy to take pointers and/or direct commits on top of the branch fixing my broken stuff.
