The power supply for the all mice/rat boxes.

The purpose of this power supply is to power the recording components of the boxes, specifically the Arduino/Motorshield, solenoids, and all lights- visible and IR.

How to Wire Power Supply and Power Cable

  • To connect the power supply, you will need the White Barrel Jack Conductor cable, and expose the wires within using a wire stripper set to 24-26.

  • You will then need to twist the wires so that they become very fine- this is to reduce/eliminate fraying if they fray from stripping.

  • These cords, as you will notice, are split into two separate wires. One side will be screwed into the V+ side of the power supply, while the other will be screwed into the V- side. Repeat this process with the other wire.

  • These wires, once connected, will then be plugged into the Arduino adapter, and a second adapter to power the lights.
