Admin Actions: User Merge

Where there is a change to authentication (e.g. an Institution changes it’s Shibboleth IdP) this can result in a new user account being created on KB+ for an existing user.

The ‘User Merge’ option allows you to specify a User to Keep and a User to Merge based on Display Name. In all cases the new user account should be selected as the ‘User to Keep’ and the old user account should be selected as the ‘User to Merge’.

All permissions and institutional affiliations will be copied from the old user account to the new user account.
